Hip-Hop Rumors: French Montana Calls 50 Cent A “Swagless Monkey” – Rick Ross Chimes In!!

It looks like we officially have another rap beef on our hands. 50 Cent went after French Montana on Twitter yesterday, calling him “weak” and a “h*e” – check out his tweets below:

You didn’t think Frenchie was just going to sit there and take that, did you? The Bronx-bred rapper shot off insults towards 50 Cent, including calling him a “monkey,” something Rick Ross originated in the heat of his beef with 50 a few years back. Check out French Montana’s tweet below:

Rick Ross even got in on the Twitter beef, tweeting a subliminal tweet towards 50 Cent.

Originally, we reported that the 50 Beef was sparked by a comment French made inComplex Magazine, where he said:

“You should avoid beef if you trying to make money. People get scared when you try to beef with people. In general, [even in street shit] nobody want to stand next to you if somebody about to shoot you, unless you have a a big lick. They [used to] do that with 50 because 50 was the bank. They knew he was going to win. People ain’t doing that [anymore] … [The rap game's not built like that anymore]. No, it’s over for that. It’s gone, big time. They’ll get you out so fast.”

Well, apparently it was another comment about 50′s album sales that made 50 go off and set his targets on Montana. Check out an excerpt from the interview below:

Of course, Ross is on his fifth album,” Montana said, after being asked if Rozay will have a longer run than 50. “And like I said, he’s only getting bigger. This is going to be Ross’ first platinum album. He never went platinum. So when 50 came up, 50 sold 10 million. Then after his first album, he just kept on going down. You think 50 could come out and sell 10 million now?

“I feel like beef hurt him,” he added later. “I feel like it helped Ross unite people. That’s why Maybach Music is one of the biggest labels. It just makes sense.”

Ahh, okay – now I understand why 50 is upset. In the words of French, “It just makes sense” now, right?

Perhaps this new rap beef will reignite 50′s rap prowess, or maybe it will bury him into the rap abyss for good. What do you think?

Hip-Hop Rumors: Looks Like Fabolous Is Dissing Lil’ Wayne On His New Song!

So, last night Funky Flex dropped a bomb on the new Fabolous song and its called “So NY.” And in it, he seemed to have some worlds for the lil one from YMCMB. “I’m so New York Weezy probably don’t like me,” he says repeatedly after a verse that speaks on a number of matters. He refers to gun charges and whatnot. You should just listen for yourself. Its definitely a small time thing. Wondering if Wayne regrets saying he doesn’t like the birthplace of Hip-Hop.

 

Hip-Hop Rumors: Meek Mill And Roc Nation Beefing Already?!

MMG rapper Meek Mill just signed a management deal with Roc Nation in May, and it looks like there may already be trouble in paradise. Although Roc Nation has just scored Meek a lucrative endorsement deal with Skull Candy, the rapper blasted the management company on his Twitter account, calling them “dumb.” Check out his tweet below:

Meek’s beef with Roc Nation stems from a performance at a nightclub he was booked for in Brooklyn. We hear security was not up to par, and although Meek was in the venue, he was forced to forfeit his performance.
Instead of being upset with the club, Meek lashed out at his management company over Twitter. As you know, Roc Nation is owned and operated by Jay-Z. I wonder how he feels about Meek Mill essentially calling him a “dumb ass?”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Keri Hilson Blackballed Because Of Beyonce Diss?

                        Damn. After I stopped going gaga for Kelly Rowland, I had a few moments where I was all on Keri Hilson. At the time, Keri was very…oh lala. Basically, she was one of the few chicks that were surviving the Beyonce era. Most singers were destroyed by B and anybody else was just struggling. But now, it appears that the B-curse has finally caught Keri. I was always wondering what happened to her and why didn’t she come back around after being pretty successful. In 2009, Keri said these fateful words on the remix to “Turning Me On.”

Seems like Interscope has gotten the Illuminati word and cut off Keri’s lifeline. I’ve heard her own haughty behavior has contributed to her situation. Now, nobody is wiling to work with her, rumors say. Crazy thing is, Keri is a very accomplished song writer! Somebody get Timbaland on the phone!
