Lil Wayne Under Fire For Disrespectful Emmett Till Lyric, Epic Records Pulls Song

(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne is under intense scrutiny for a rap lyric that blatantly disrespects the memory of Emmett Till, a young boy that was murdered in 1955 for whistling at a white woman.

The rapper appears on the Future song “Karate Chop,” where he proclaims he would beat up a woman’s private parts like Emmett Till.

Epic Records has already released a statement indicating that they are pulling the remixed record, which was apparently leaked to the internet.

“We regret the unauthorized remix version of Future’s `Karate Chop,’ which was leaked online and contained hurtful lyrics,” the statement said. “Out of respect for the legacy of Emmett Till and his family and the support of the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. … we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version.”

Another version of the song is coming out without the reference to Emmet Till. The move corresponds with the wishes of the family.

Earlier this week, the family of the Till family has released a statement expressing their outrage at the lyric.

Airickca Gordon-Taylor, founding director of the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation, said the song is “disappointing, dishonorable, and outright disrespectful to our family.”

“My agenda is not to be disrespectful to Lil Wayne, even as much as I feel he’s been disrespectful to my family. We just want Emmett’s name removed from that song. That entire segment is very misogynistic and promotes domestic abuse toward women by our own race.” Gordon-Taylor told the Sun-Times on Wednesday.

“But it also shows total disregard of where you’ve come from. He wouldn’t even be out there rapping these stupid lyrics without the sacrifice Emmett made. Personally, I think Lil Wayne should just go ahead and apologize to my family. It’s hurtful.”

Lil Wayne has made no comment at press time.

Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Seizure On Private Jet

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Wayne was hospitalized yesterday (October 25), after having suffered from a medical ailment on a plane.

TMZ.com reports that Lil Wayne’s private jet made an emergency landing in Texas, after the rapper suffered seizure like symptoms.

Soon after the rap star’s private jet landed, Lil Wayne was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for the condition.

According to reports, Lil Wayne was hospitalized for several hours and treated, before he was released.

(AllHipHop News) Management for Lil Wayne has released a statement to AllHipHop.com, to clarify reports about the rap star’s hospitalization in Texas yesterday (October 25).

Lil Wayne’s private jet was forced to land in Texas yesterday, where the rapper was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.

“Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration,” a rep told AllHipHop.com. “He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.”

Lil Wayne’s management team denied reports that he suffered from a seizure and reports that he was still hospitalized and being treated.

The migraine and dehydration were serious enough for Lil Wayne to cancel an appearance at the Jefferson Mall in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lil Wayne was supposed to make an appearance at the Dillard’s at the Jefferson Mall to promote his Trukfit clothing line.

But the appearance has been canceled and according to Dillards, will be rescheduled at a later date.

So, last night Funky Flex dropped a bomb on the new Fabolous song and its called “So NY.” And in it, he seemed to have some worlds for the lil one from YMCMB. “I’m so New York Weezy probably don’t like me,” he says repeatedly after a verse that speaks on a number of matters. Hip-Hop Rumors: Ochocinco Hangs Out With Lil Wayne!

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is recovering from his wounds. And what better way to do that than hanging out with Lil Wayne! Over the weekend, he took his daughter to meet the superstar of Young Money and skateboarding! Apparently, He’s sought some form of refuge at Weezy’s home since he was arrested for head butting his wife Evelyn Lozada! You know then he get cut from the Miami Dolphins and then freakin lost his reality show with his wife. Oh and also the endorsement deal with Zico Coconut Water. Well, I think he’s doing the right thing. Shout out to Wayne. I don’t know all about him, but he’s human like everybody else and probably needs the support of friends. But Weezy is on it like that so that’s what is is.
