Rapper Rick Ross Hit With $226k Lawsuit For Performing A 15-Minute Set

(AllHipHop News) A promoter has filed a lawsuit against Miami rap star Rick Ross, over a truncated show that took place in Charlotte, North Carolina during CIAA weekend.

Rick Ross, Meek Mill and Waka Flocka Flame are the subjects of a lawsuit filed by SM Global Union, over a show held at the Bojangles Coliseum.

The rappers were paid a total of $225,000 to perform 60-minutes sets during the CIAA weekend in March.

According to the lawsuit, SM Global Union paid Rick Ross $90,000 to perform for an hour, but the rapper only delivered 15 minutes and abruptly walked off the stage.

Waka Flocka and Meek Mill are being sued for breaching their contracts, by failing to advertise and promote the party through their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

They are in addition to appearing at numerous venues prior to the March 2 performance.

SM Global Union is suing for breach of contract, and seeks $226,000 in damages, as well as lost profits.

Hip-Hop Rumors: The Gangster Disciples Crew Wants Rick Ross To “Pay His Dues”

Rick Ross is allegedly in some trouble with the Gangster Disciples gang in Alabama, and to prove their point, the goons have made a YouTube video to express just how much they hate Ricky Rozay. How very 21st Century of them.

In the video, the leader of the GD crew leads about 15-20 male and female gang members to chant “Disciples,” while several male members take turns addressing Rick Ross, urging him to “check in” with them before someone checks in with him. The gang members claim that Rick Ross will not be able to step foot in Alabama for a show or for anything unless he “pays his dues” to them. Check out theWorld Star video below:

Damn, either Rick Ross needs to stay clear and free of Alabama, or he needs to hire a special forces team to accompany him next time he has any business there! UH!

Over the weekend, Diddy announced that Jeezy is the newest Ciroc Boy. To celebrate, Diddy put together a shindig christening Jeezy’s partnership with the brand that included a cake and, of course, plenty of Ciroc.

One has to wonder what this will do for Diddy’s relationship with one of his original Ciroc Boys, Rick Ross. As you know Jeezy and Rozay had a little altercation with each other at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Rick Ross Finally Speaks About His Correctional Officer Past

Rozay is covering the newest issue of Rolling Stone, and for the first time ever, he speaks about his correctional officer past. Ross says that he had to “wash my hands” after his best friend was sentenced to 10 years in jail for drug trafficking. Check out what he told the magazine below:

“This was my best friend, who I ate peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches with, and pork and beans with, my buddy, my partner, my number-one dude. Suddenly I’m talking to him over federal phone calls. Hearing the way it was building, I knew I couldn’t take nothing for granted,” says Ross. “My homey’s father was a huge influence on my life, too . . . He was the one who was like, ‘Yo, go get a job somewhere, man. Go be a fireman. Or go be a fucking corrections officer. Just go sit down somewhere.”

So, he didn’t really talk about it that much, but at least he gave us a look into the reasoning behind it. Maybe he will speak about it more freely.

Rozay also spoke about the recent theater shooting in Colorado and said that it was “such a cowardly act” – so does this mean he’s in favor of gun control? Check out what he said below:

“I think we all have a right to bear arms, whichever amendment that is.” Even assault rifles? He shrugs. “I got ‘em.”

Ross seems to be in favor of free speech of all kinds, and even defended Chik-fil-A’s recent stands against gay people:

“Chick-fil-A obviously took their stand. That’s their right – the same way the pro-gay people are taking their stand. I believe everybody got the right to live their own life the way they want to.” So does that mean he’d support a Chick-fil-A boycott?:

“Naw. I love that spicy chicken.”
